I know I’m just a little white girl, but lately all I can seem to listen to is Wait What’s mash-up of Biggie and The XX. An it’s really changing my life. BART rides seem more meaningful, I have about 25% more swagger in my walk, and I’m 75% less likely to take shit from anyone. Funny how much music can change your attitude and perspective. I never before realized Biggie’s emotional range: from dark and suicidal, to inspirational, to songs that are really just about how good he is at sex. Mostly, Biggie’s message about having finally made it is helping me tackle my daunting job search because if he could go “from negative to positive” then maybe I can too…Even without the rap skills. Thanks Biggie, you make me feel like a more interesting person.
